Inspiring Journey of Rick Chakraborty

Rick Chakraborty, a bright and determined boy from Kulai village in Howrah, has shown remarkable courage and perseverance in overcoming life’s challenges. His parents, Haradhan and Minoti Chakraborty, observed early signs of learning difficulties and sought professional assessment, which revealed an intellectual disability of 50% with an IQ of 66%. Determined to provide him with the right support, his father admitted him to a special school on 3rd April 2023. 

Through continuous special education, individualized guidance, and encouragement in academics, social skills, and sports, Rick began to make steady progress. His improvement level rose impressively from 50% to 80%, reflecting his dedication and the consistent efforts of his teachers. Motivated by this progress, his parents enrolled him in an open school, where Rick successfully completed his secondary examination with 45% marks. 

Rick’s journey stands as an inspiring example of how early intervention, dedicated parental support, and inclusive education can empower a child with special needs to achieve his goals and build a confident future.
