Orthopedic Workshop

Individuals with disabilities often face unique challenges that impact their daily lives and limit their ability to perform routine activities independently. The provision of assistive devices plays a crucial role in addressing these challenges, enhancing quality of life, and promoting inclusivity. Legal frameworks underscore the importance of these aids to ensure equal opportunities, demonstrating a commitment to fostering a truly inclusive society that acknowledges and addresses diverse needs. 

With the generous support of ADL in Switzerland, Asha Bhavan Center operates an orthopedic workshop dedicated to improving mobility and quality of life for children and individuals with disabilities. This workshop serves as a central resource for providing essential aids and appliances, including specialized chairs, custom wheelchairs, and tricycles. These assistive devices are distributed to various beneficiaries, including children in our care facilities, students in special schools, individuals participating in Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR) programs, and persons with disabilities in disadvantaged communities.
