Shabnam Khatun – A Journey of Progress

Shabnam Khatun, a bright 9-year-old girl from Paschim Medinipur, West Bengal, has shown remarkable improvement through determination and care. At age seven, her parents noticed difficulties in walking and speaking, leading to an assessment that identified her as a child with special needs. She was admitted to a special school providing individualized education and therapy-based interventions. 

With regular physical, occupational, and speech therapies, Shabnam’s strength, balance, and communication skills have significantly improved. She can now walk short distances independently, manage some daily tasks, and express her needs clearly. Her progress reflects the transformative impact of early intervention, family support, and dedicated guidance in helping children with special needs move toward independence and inclusion.
