Teacher’s Training Program

Diploma in Special Education for Intellectual Disability affiliated by RCI, Govt. of India.  

The Diploma in Special Education (Intellectual Disability) provides trainees with a comprehensive understanding of intellectual disabilities and their impact on learning and development. The curriculum explores child development, learning psychology, and the unique needs of students with intellectual disabilities. It also introduces a range of instructional approaches, classroom strategies, and assessment tools tailored to support children with ID. By the end of the program, trainees gain the practical skills needed to design effective interventions and create inclusive, supportive learning environments. 

Since 2016, Asha Bhavan Centre has been offering this specialized course under the affiliation of the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). More than 100 trainees have completed the program, many of whom now play a vital role in strengthening special education services in remote and underserved regions of the state. This initiative has significantly contributed to expanding inclusive education and addressing the learning needs of children with disabilities across the community.
