Vocational Training programme under Paschim Banga Society for Skill Development. (PBSSD)

PBSSD It is an autonomous society under the Technical Education, Training & Skill Development Department of the Government of West Bengal, focused on implementing skill development programs for youth population to improve the scope of gainful employment and entrepreneurial opportunities. The programme implemented in collaboration with NGOs, the scheme provides vocational and skill-based training to promote economic independence, self-reliance, and social inclusion. 

Under this scheme, Asha Bhavan Centre successfully implemented 2 batches of training on Garment Manufacture V2, through this programme we trained 29 young adult including girls with disabilities. The program equipped participants with the technical skills and confidence to pursue income-generating opportunities and contribute meaningfully to their families and communities. 

This initiative reflects Asha Bhavan Centre’s steadfast commitment to promoting skill development, financial empowerment, and social inclusion among marginalized women—paving the way for self-sufficiency and dignified livelihoods.
